June 21, 2023 – The Executive Board of the Croatian Football Association held its 13th regular session in Osijek, where numerous decisions related to competitions in the next competitive year were made, as well as the decision on hosting the Croatia-Turkey match.
As SiB writes, the Croatia-Turkey European qualification match for EURO 2024, scheduled for October 12 this year, will be played at the newly opened Opus Arena stadium in Osijek.
The host will be formally confirmed when UEFA’s stadium inspection is completed, and Opus Arena receives UEFA’s permission to play international matches. It will be the first game of the Vatreni in the new home of the Osijek Football Club.
Croatia-Latvia Match in Rijeka
The executive committee also made a decision on ticket prices for the match against Latvia, which will be played in September in Rijeka:

The executive board adopted the report on the licensing procedure for the competition year 2023/24. It also adopted the competition propositions for SuperSport HNL, SuperSport First NL, Second NL, and SuperSport Croatian Football Cup.
Final of the Cup in the Two Games Format
Additionally, the executive board decided to amend the Decision on the system of permanent competitions, as proposed by the HNS Competition Commission. It was agreed that the final of the SuperSport Croatian Football Cup would be played in a two-game format. However, one game will be played in all stages of the competition until the final. It was also decided that the return of the playoffs between the ninth-placed SuperSport HNL team and the second-placed SuperSport Prva NL team was postponed until at least the 2026/27 season.
