It is no secret that Croatia punches above its weight on the global sporting scene, and football is no exception. The national team’s World Cup heroics are well-documented, and many of its stars ply their trade in the top European leagues, including the Premier League in England.
It is a sign of the quality of Croatian football, that treble winners Manchester City signed not one, but two Croatian stars to add to their squad for the current campaign, Josko Gvadiol and Mateo Kovacic.
In a video interview for the club’s social media, Gvardiol was asked to name his all-time Croatian Premier League team from the 29 Croatian stars who have played in the elite league since its founding in 1992. It is quite a formidable team. Could it win the Premier League today?
