February 2, 2024 – The world’s most famous YouTuber, MrBeast, is working on one of his high-production videos in an abandoned hotel complex in Kupari near Dubrovnik. As the citizens reported, it was not possible to enter the complex for days because the roads were blocked.
One of the most famous faces on the Internet, writes Večernji, James Stephen Donaldson, better known as MrBeast (25), is currently staying in Dubrovnik. MrBeast became famous for his YouTube channel, and now he decided to film one of his projects in Croatia. For now, the famous YouTuber has not revealed what he is filming there.
Last autumn, MrBeast surprised his audience with a new challenge. He posted a photo on X (formerly Twitter) of a white room with two beds, a few necessities, a couple of cabinets, a sink, a large safe, and tinted windows for observation.
Would you spend 100 days in this room with a complete stranger for $500,000? – he wrote and added:
The door is unlocked, and if one of you leaves before the 100th day, you both lose.
Some of the videos that MrBeast is famous for include: “I spent 7 days buried alive”, “Last one to leave the circle wins $500,000”, “Squid Game in real life”, etc.
MrBeast first appeared on the social network in 2017 when he published his first video and showed how he counted to 100,000, which he said took him 44 hours. He said he realized it would work, he was desperate he had no money, and when his predictions were confirmed, he knew what to do on the platform. So he watched Jake Paul’s “It’s Everyday Bro” video for 10 hours and spun the fidget spinner for 24 hours, reaching the first million followers.
After that, he figured out what kind of videos could go viral and started making them, including last-person-to-leave challenges, or giving large sums of money to Uber drivers or waitresses. He once opened a car dealership and gave away all the cars for free.
