June the 1st, 2024 – One Croatian cafe in the heart of Zagreb has found itself listed among Europe’s best by Enjoy Travel.
As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, people often recommend locations at which to drink good coffee in their city on social media, as finding a good cafe is an important part of the trip and for an entire army of tourists.
Enjoy Travel published a list of the 50 best coffee shops in Europe, and one Croatian cafe was (rightfully) on it.
The Croatian cafe in question is Zagreb’s popular Quahwa, which was ranked 41st on Enjoy Travel’s rather extensive list.
“This uniquely decorated coffee bar in the heart of the lively Croatian capital attracts both locals and tourists looking for a truly exceptional morning, afternoon or evening coffee. If you want to try your hand at brewing your own top-quality coffee, browse the range of coffee beans. Coffee beans come from different regions around the world, including the coffee-producing capitals of Brazil, Colombia and Kenya. If you’re hungry, enjoy a piece of cake with your coffee and enjoy the Croatian sun while sitting on the outdoor furniture,” they write.
It’s rather surprising that only one Croatian cafe found itself on this list, given the absolutely endless amount of places across the country serving coffee. Coffee culture is enormous here, and we wouldn’t even want to wager a guess as to how many cafes there actually are.
Enjoy Travek’s list of the best cafes also includes Belgrade’s Užitak in 37th position and Ljubljana’s Tozd in 22nd place.
From London to Portugal, these are the ten best coffee shops in the world according to that list:
- Team Wendelboe – Oslo, Norway
- Majestic Cafe – Porto, Portugal
- Toma Cafe – Madrid, Spain
- Good Life Coffee Roasters – Helsinki, Finland
- The Barn – Berlin, Germany
- Coffeewerk + Press – Galway, Ireland
- Ozone Coffee Roasters – London, United Kingdom
- Drop Coffee – Stockholm, Sweden
- Caravan Coffee Roasters – London, United Kingdom
- Gran Caffe Gambrinus – Naples, Italy
