July the 30th, 2024 – The remarkable Croatian unicorn from Vodnjan, Infobip, has officially opened its seventh office in the country.
As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, the Croatian unicorn Infobip’s new office in Croatia has now been officially opened in the Technology Park in Varaždin, more specifically at 89 Zagrebačka Ulica. Fifteen employees will work in the new premises, most of them engineers, who are focused on developing the latest cloud communication solutions for which Infobip has become so well known globally. This new office in Varaždin is otherwise the Croatian unicorn Infobip’s seventh office the country. It follows offices in Osijek, Bjelovar, Split, Rijeka, Zagreb and the place where it all began – Vodnjan in Istria.
With this investment, the Croatian unicorn Infobip, internationally known and respected as a global cloud communication platform, wil enables its employees to work in a stimulating and modern environment. It will also open up opportunities for further cooperation with the local IT community and startups located in the very north of Croatia. The announcement also includes the possibility of internships and mentoring for technical students in Varaždin and the surrounding areas.

“Varaždin’s technology scene is well known for the quality and for the creativity of local experts. Our new office will provide those people with an opportunity for professional growth and further development. In addition, through future internship and mentoring programmes, we want to provide young talent here with the opportunity to participate in the creation of future technologies,” said Damir Prusac, Vice President for Research Partnerships at Infobip.
Cooperation with the Technology Park, the University of the North and FOI
By opening this brand new office, Infobip wants to strengthen its ties with the local community and educational institutions. As such, through the commendable Infobip Startup Tribe programme, it will provide support to startups headquartered there by enabling them to use their products, such as SaaS and CPaaS solutions, and help them reach their users. In cooperation with the Technology Park, they will support startups in their early stages of their development, participate in various conferences and meetups, as well as share their experience and stories with the local IT community.
In addition to supporting startups, Infobip will organise internship programs in Varaždin in the future, in cooperation with FOI and the University of the North. “We want to enable students from Varaždin and the surrounding area to apply for professional internships and learn from our engineers, without the need to travel to other cities. In this way, we’ll provide them with the opportunity to develop professionally in their place of study”, concluded Leda Link, head of Infobip’s new Varaždin office.
