August the 2nd, 2024 – Expansion plans for the popular Croatian retail chain as a Konzum investment over 10 million euros is in the works.
As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, Konzum recently opened a brand new super format store within the SunPark shopping centre in Vodice. The chain has stated that the new centre fully meets the needs of the modern customer. The individual value of this Konzum investment exceeds 2.8 million euros, and the new Super Konzum spans an area of 2,250 square metres.
This Konzum investment and brand new large store is otherwise the eleventh newly opened store since the year began. Two more are planned to open before the end of the year. This is a continuation of investments in the development of existing and new retail locations for this company, for which more than 10 million euros were allocated this year alone. Konzum has stated that it strives to increase its presence throughout the country, and in addition to opening stores in more new locations, the plan is to renovate eight of its existing ones.
“This year, we’re once again focusing primarily on a strategic approach to the development of our whole retail network. As a market leader, we listen closely to the needs of our customers, which we strive to respond to by providing a quality offer and service throughout the country. We’re already present in several locations in Vodice, but we recognised the potential of this important tourist centre. By opening the new Super Konzum, we want to further strengthen our presence locally and meet the needs of the residents of this town, as well as all tourists who flock here in the summer,” said Zoran Mitreski, president of the Konzum Management Board.
