October the 24th, 2024 – Innovative Croatian Barteni parking systems might be the answer to certain types of traffic accidents that are unfortunately typical of narrow Croatian streets.
As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, the rotating parking platform is an innovative and exceptionally socially beneficial system that aims to reduce the number of accidents on the roads. It was recently presented for the first time in this country by the Croatian company Barteni.
At this year’s ArhiBau architecture and construction fair in Zagreb, visitors had the opportunity to see how this system, produced and designed entirely in Croatia, works in practice. Over 1,000 guests over three days stopped to look at this innovative platform.
“Our goal is to eliminate traffic accidents when exiting the parking lot onto the road and increase traffic safety,” stated Jelena Bogović, the company’s director. “91% of all accidents that occur when parking occur when driving in reverse, and that number needs to be reduced and easier, safer and faster parking should be ensured,” Bogović added.
Streets in Croatia are often too narrow for modern traffic needs, and the lack of parking space further worsens the situation. That’s where the Croatian Barteni parking systems come into the picture.
“It isn’t possible to just come out and change urban plans overnight. Therefore, we need an innovative system as a solution for safer parking, and especially inclusion in traffic,” they stated from Barteni.
The Croatian Barteni parking systems are rotating platforms use electric motors to function, which also reduces the ecological footprint made by the driver. “By reducing concreting and eliminating the need to drive backwards at all, these platforms significantly reduce the risk of traffic accidents, as well as C02 emissions, making driving safer and more environmentally friendly,” concluded Jelena Bogović.
