January the 7th, 2026 – A brand new hotel, swimming pools and much more will spring up about an hour from Zagreb in the Municipality of Rovišće as part of a very large project.
As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, a sport and recreation centre worth a massive nine million euros is being built in the municipality of Rovišće not far from Zagreb. Six million of those euros were withdrawn from the NPO. This facility will bring with it a whole new range of additional facilities and will become the largest project in the history of this municipality.
“We will have a hotel with 21 rooms, there will also be a sports hall that will be multi-functional because we’ve imagined that it can be used for playing indoor football and other sports, but possible for weddings and other events,” explained Mayor Slavko Prišćan for Klikni.hr.
The future sports and recreation centre in Rovišće will also include a football pitch with artificial grass, a swimming pool, a smaller children’s pool, two paddle courts, a promenade and more.
“I think that this will be a fantastic opportunity to employ people, to change the facilities in the municipality, to be able to receive guests from all over Croatia and even from elsewhere across Europe,” stated Prišćan, adding that if everything goes to plan, it should all be ready by the middle of this year.
