July the 24th, 2026 – Croatia Airlines is set to serve its passengers authentic Dalmatian flavours as of August the 1st this year.
Passengers flying on Croatia Airlines planes will be treated to a genuine taste of Dalmatia before they even land as the national carrier launches a new onboard gastronomic offer. Poslovni reports that as of August the 1st, Dalmatian flavours will be able to be enjoyed before the aircraft’s wheels even touch Croatian soil. The move is primarily designed to showcase this special region of Croatia’s local food producers and rich culinary traditions.
The new initiative is part of a collaboration between Croatia Airlines, the Split-Dalmatia County Tourist Board and the county itself. The aim is to introduce travellers to authentic Dalmatian products during their flight, creating a unique welcome experience while promoting this coastal region’s food, culture and local businesses.
Passengers will receive specially curated snack packages featuring a selection of products made by producers from the Split-Dalmatia region. The project is intended not only to enhance the in-flight experience but also to encourage visitors to explore local gastronomy once they arrive at their destination.
Those within tourism have claimed that food and drink have become an increasingly important part of the travel experience, with many visitors choosing destinations based on their culinary heritage.
