September the 13th, 2026 – Croatian airports have enjoyed a record summer this year, with July in particular standing out.
Croatian airports recorded strong passenger traffic in July 2026. A total of 2,355 thousand passengers passed through domestic airports, which is 40 thousand more than in the same month last year. Zrinka Gabelica Toplek reports for Poslovni that when compared to July 2025, when 2,315 thousand passengers passed through Croatian airports, this year’s result is an increase of 1.7 percent. The largest number of passengers was recorded by Split Airport, through which 767 thousand passengers passed in July, thus retaining the status of the busiest Croatian airport.
It is followed by Dubrovnik Airport with 557 thousand passengers, while 465 thousand passengers passed through Zagreb Airport. In fourth place is Zadar Airport with 365 thousand passengers, and fifth place was taken by Pula Airport with 145 thousand passengers.

In July 2026, 2.35 million passengers passed through Croatian airports, which is 1.7% more than in the same month last year, and Split was the busiest. The five busiest airports together recorded 2,299 thousand passenger movements, or almost the entire traffic recorded at Croatian airports during July.
According to the country of origin of passengers, the most passengers arrived from Germany, from which 380 thousand passengers were recorded. The German market was thus the most important source of passenger traffic in the Croatian air system. In second place was the United Kingdom with 376 thousand passengers, while 192 thousand passengers were recorded from Poland in July. France follows with 180 thousand passengers.
The four leading markets – Germany, the United Kingdom, Poland and France – together accounted for 1,128 thousand passengers, which shows how important a role European markets play in Croatian air traffic during the main tourist season.
