Along with the Riva, short film marathon will be held in Kino Karaman and cinematheque Zlatna Vrata
Split in Croatia is the place to be this weekend if you are a fan of short movies. Starting on December 18, 2015, at 6 PM, central stage is turning into the largest movie screen in the city while free projections for all ages will continue in two different locations in the city centre until Sunday, December 20.
The short movie marathon is organized by Kino Karaman, cinematheque Zlatna Vrata, Mediterranean Film Festival with the support of the City of Split and Croatian Audio-visual Centre. More than 20 film titles for all ages will be shown on the Riva today and the programme is an excellent addition to the already bustling atmosphere around the Advent houses.
Along with international titles, visitors will be able to see some excellent locally themed short movies such as “The Story of Mare from Veli Varoš”, “Autofocus” and “Dove Sei Amor Mio”. DJs will be “spinning” classic movie soundtracks during intermissions and if that’s not enough, cinematheque Zlatna Vrata will show 12 titles from around the globe on Saturday while the only remaining movie theatre in the centre of the city, Kino Karaman will continue with the short movie marathon on Sunday.
