The Pearl of the Adriatic in Winter: Advent in Dubrovnik, Croatia

While all the Advent focus may be on Zagreb, Dalmatia’s coastal tourist cities are also playing their part – a video look at Dubrovnik. 

A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979 and one of most iconic cities in Europe, the old town of Dubrovnik is a popular tourist destination for both regular and cruise tourists in the south of Croatia. As with other destinations in Croatia, the city is working hard at expanding its season to year-round tourism. 

The city recently launched Project Winter, an initiative to increase tourist overnights in winter to half a million, and a key attraction is the Advent in Dubrovnik fair, with the spectacular old town made even more stunning with seasonal decorations, which have been nicely captured in a video uploaded on December 18, 2015, which can be viewed below:
