After HDZ president Karamarko resigns as First Deputy Prime Minister, Prime Minister Orešković speaks with the media.
After HDZ president Tomislav Karamarko resigned as First Deputy Prime Minister and announced that tomorrow Parliament would vote on motion of no confidence against Prime Minister Tihomir Orešković, the Prime Minister gave a statement to the media.
“The Commission for Conflict of Interest Prevention decided today that Tomislav Karamarko was in conflict of interest. Afterwards, Mr. Karamarko resigned as First Deputy Prime Minister.
I invite all stakeholders to demonstrate maximum patience and responsibility. I believe that the Patriotic Coalition and MOST will bridge their differences. I hope that the government will stabilize and that we will continue to implement reforms. There is a lot of work ahead of us.
I will not answer any questions today. I will give answers to all the questions tomorrow in Parliament”, said the Prime Minister.
