Croatian Adriatic a Heaven for Cruisers

The Croatian sea hosted 184 circle cruises by foreign vessels in the first five months of this year, 9.5% more than the same time last year, with 18.5% more visitors

All ships on circle cruises spent a total of 446 days in Croatia, 19% more than last year in the same period, Tportal.hr reported on July 14, 2016. The majority made their first entrance into Croatian territorial waters in the Dubrovnik-Neretva county, followed by Split-Dalmatia county.

According to nationality, most circle cruises were made by ships flying flags of Italy and Malta, followed by the Bahamas. Although the total results of circle cruises are better, May proved to be worse, with a slight 4% decrease, but also marked the largest number of cruises in a single month since the beginning of the year.

The largest increase in monthly arrivals was made in April, with 53 cruises, 32.5% more than last April.
