Stari Grad Best European Destination Nominee: 10. A Winter Night

Continuing our daily photo countdown until the final voting on February 10 for the Best European Destination 2017 on the European Best Destinations website, a look at Croatian nominee Stari Grad through the lens of Rafael Janic Photography. 

Winters an be long on Hvar, but if you are looking for the best place to spend them, there are few better options than Stari Grad. Some restaurants remain open, the ferry to Split is close by, and there is plenty of daily interaction in the old town and in the Stari Grad harbour. It is also a great time to visit, and without the crowd, Stari Grad’s timeless streets.

And the winter views have a magic and calm of their own. Stari Grad by winter night. Idyllic.
