A selection of Italian movies from the Venice Film Festival 2016.
Cinephiles will be thrilled to hear that they can watch films from the Venice Film Festival (also known as Mostra), the oldest and one of the most famous film festivals in the world, here in Zagreb.
The fourth annual Venice in Zagreb program is a result of cooperation between the Venice Film Festival, Zagreb Film Festival and Italian Cultural Institute in Zagreb.
The festival takes place in Kino Europa (March 12 – March 17) and the audience will be able to enjoy six movies which were screened at the festival in September 2016.
The entrance to the official opening ceremony on March 12 is free (but the number of seats is limited, so you need to get a ticket at the ticket office), while the tickets for other movies cost 20 kn and can be purchased at Kino Europa’s ticket office or online here.
The first movie on the program is Dino Risi’s Profumo di Donna (1974), known also as being the basis for the more popular remake The Scent of a Woman from 1992, starring Al Pacino.
