Publicity for the many delights of the Croatian gastronomical scene as the National Geographic Channel throws the spotlight on the country’s finest delicacies.
National Geographic is one of the most respected publications (and as technology has advanced, channels) in the world, internationally leading the way in history, geography and culture since way back in 1888, with continuous publications of the highest level ever since.
National Geographic’s Croatia’s Finest series, which highlights the wonders and variety of Croatian gastronomy features 2010’s British Masterchef winner Dhruv Baker has recently been rebroadcast and will be shown in over 90 nations worldwide. The series began running again this week across the Asian market, including Japan, China, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, states the Croatia’s Finest website.
Baker, a ”real man of the world” if there ever was one, was born in Mexico and raised in India and Tanzania. A particularly talented and passionate chef; he was watched by approximately seven million viewers when he took the British Masterchef winners title back in 2010. Baker was and will be the star of the rebroadcasted Croatia’s Finest series, which will draw the eyes of over half a billion viewers from around the globe as he shows off his culinary skills by cooking with fresh, local products out in the open in some of the most beautiful locations in the country, from the town of Koprivnica to Krk, to more well known locations like the coastal settlements of Sibenik, Rijeka, Zadar, Porec, Biograd na Moru, Losinj and Split.
Cooking in places nobody has ever cooked before, such as Zrinjevac park in Zagreb, the Sun Salutation in Zadar, Zlatni Rat beach and the iconic Pula Amphitheatre; the rebroadcasted series which focuses entirely on Croatia and will be shown in more countries across the globe than ever before is sure to ignite the interest of millions, perhaps becoming one of the absolute best promotions of the country and its truly incredible cuisine to date.
