The Town of Jastrebarsko will receive an honorary award as the city with one of the best web strategies in 2016, given by fDi Intelligence, part of Financial Times, mojzagreb.info reports.
The official award ceremony is held today, March 14, in Cannes. Velimir Kokot, EU projects adviser, will receive the award on behalf of Jastrebarsko mayor. The first place and the grand prize in this category went to the city of Berlin.
The Town of Jastrebarsko has received many awards in the last few years. In 2012 Jastrebarsko became the first Croatian town to receive an fDi title of one of Southern European cities of the future. In 2013 it received the Child Friendly Title and in 2014 the town also got the prestigious Green Light award, given by the European Commission, for the project “Energy-Efficient Lighting to Energy Savings and Clean Environment”. The award streak continued in 2015 when Jastrebarsko won the BFC certificate, which confirmed its status of a business-friendly town. During the “Your Bussines Friendly Town” project, Jastrebarsko became the first Croatian city to get to the finals of “European Enterprise Promotions Awards 2015”. Last year, Jastrebarsko ranked seventh place at Top 10 Micro European Cities and Regions of the Future list compiled by fDi Intelligence.
This new award is further proof of just how innovative, advanced and informative the web system maintained by the town of Jastrebarsko really is. Year after year, the town tries to optimize its strategy and create a well-designed website and a user-friendly system.
