The town of famous painter Ivan Rebuzin’s birth is celebrating the artist with a festival, which starts on March 25, 2017.
The Novi Marof Public Open University, in cooperation with the Novi Marof Tourism Board, the Novi Marof town library and the „Inn“ bar is organizinig the „Rabuzin days“ at the Ivan Rabuzin“ Cultural Centre in March, the month of Mr Rabuzin’s birth.
To us, his followers and admirers, Ivan Rabuzin is not only a painter, but also a poet- he gives us the settled speech of the Sun in such a beautiful and convincing way- as well as he is a composer, who writes the notes in his own way, but which are also used by the others, folding the plans and the layers, the paths and the seed beds just like others write the notes on the staff.
To him, the „flower“ is a term,“ flowers“ is a collective noun, but he doesn’t forget the luxuriance of real manifestations, the richness of the botanical and agricultural phenomena.
We, as the representatives of the building which proudly carries his name, want to propagate his works of art, which are the wonder of the reality, but also a living source of his imagination.
We are happy to invite everyone to the „Ivan Rabuzin“ Cultural Centre on Saturday, March 25, 2017, at 6 p.m., to the opening of his watercolour exhibition- the chosen works of Ivan Rabuzin.
From March 25 to April 10 you will have the opportunity to enjoy:
– Rabuzin’s coffee (the INN bar in the Cultural Centre),
-the movie „Ključ sreće“ (a movie about Ivan Rabuzin’s life and work),
-art workshops for children and adults,
-souvenir presentations (in cooperation with the Secondary Vocational School Varaždin),
-the exhibition of postcards with Ivan Rabuzin’s motifs (the Novi Marof town library).
