The Rimac Automobili factory is a new tourist attraction near Zagreb.
A tour of the Rimac Automobili factory near Zagreb is quickly turning into one of the most popular tourist attractions of the Croatian capital. In the past year, the Rimac Factory Tour has been visited by more than 2,700 visitors, and the number is growing steadily, reports Poslovni.hr on 11 July 2017.
Ana Pavičić, the head of the Rimac Factory Tour, says that all days in July have been booked. “There are some tickets for individual days, but we already know that we will have tours organised every day,” says Pavičić. Until now, the largest number of visitors came to the factory in the spring and fall, with included numerous groups of students.
“Most students come from Croatia, but it is no longer a rarity for high school and university students from Germany and the United States to come here,” says Pavičić. She adds that tourists from Germany frequently visit the factory on their way to the Croatian coast, so the tours, in addition to the Croatian language, are also being conducted in English and German. “The Germans are the most numerous among the visitors, with the exception of people from Croatia, and we also have guests from Romania, Japan, Australia and other areas,” says Pavičić.
She adds that visitors can also buy branded T-shirts, posters, calendars, badges and models of the Concept One. And, for example, a premium tour also includes a ride on one of the Greyp bikes. Given the price of the tour ticket, which starts from 225 kunas per person, it is easy to calculate that in one year, not counting sales of the memorabilia, the company has revenue of nearly 750,000 kunas. For comparison, some of the most popular Zagreb museums have between 60,000 and 90,000 visitors a year and an annual income of 2.4 million kunas.
