Heatwave Lucifer is making Europe hotter than hell.
It seems like all we do is talk about the weather these days, but it’s hard not to when we’re in the middle of a heatwave that was dubbed Lucifer.
Jutarnji reports that temperatures around Croatia were around 40°C yesterday and that Zagreb’s ER has had 130-140 interventions a day in the past month, in addition to 80-90 during the night.
Forecast for today is 33 to 39 °C, over 40 °C in inland Dalmatia, and with possibilities of rain and thunderstorms in the western parts of the country in the afternoon. The red weather alarm is still on for all regions.
However, Istramet reports that a dramatic temperature drop will occur on Monday – with temperatures dropping as low as 18 – 23°C, with DHMZ reporting the same.
It’s nice to hear that we’re in for a cooler week, but a 25°C temperature drop overnight won’t be easy, so stay safe, especially if you’re elderly, or suffering from a heart disease.
