Croatia is full of hidden gems and stunning landscapes, such as Zavrtnica cove near Senj.
Home of Discovery recently posted an amazing drone footage of Zavratnica cove, reports Croatia Week on September 15, 2017.
”We [have] recently spent 3 weeks in Croatia and stumbled across the most amazing road trip stop off point – Jablanac. A small town situated on the coast, with the Velebit Mountain National Park in the background and the most stunning Fjord Zavratnica,” they stated in the description of the video shared on Youtube.

Although it resembles a fjord, Zavratnica is, in fact, a 900-metre-long and narrow inlet located at the foot of the mighty Velebit Mountain, 15-minute-walk away from the small village of Jablanac, near Senj, which overlooks the island of Rab.

As can be seen in the video, there is a sunken military shipwreck from World War II, which represents a real challenge for curious underwater explorers.
Other local attractions nearby are Velebit mountain and the Northern Velebit National Park. In fact, Zavratnica is part of the Nature Park Velebit (since 1981), and has been designated a protected landscape since 1964.
