Did someone say Fri-Yay? Come take a look at what Split has in store for the weekend, September 22nd – 24th, 2017.
If there is one thing we love about Split, it’s that there is always something unique, lively and colourful happening! Finding the information in English is not always so easy (that’s where we come in) but don’t let that fool you, the streets of Split hide so much more.
But, before we do, it’s Croatia, so – kava (coffee) first!
Word on the street is that Split has a new café in town that is making some darn good coffee – ‘4coffee soul food.’ We are yet to try it for ourselves but will give you an update the second we do; in the meantime, why don’t you check it out and tell us your thoughts.

After a good coffee, one needs a great breakfast. Being from New Zealand, I am all about brunch and it just so happens that someone is finally doing Eggs Benedict right! You can find us at Zinfandel having eggs benny…

ART: “To the End”, Salon Galić, all day
“Every story, every life, every movie and every epoch has its end, but most people, at least in our country, behave like their lives, their stories, their films in their heads and their epochs last forever. That is, they are indifferent to themselves, to others and to Nature, and most dependent on their own and other times. The greatest they have come to are serious and responsible is the “Time is money” – so they fly as well as time, planes and spaceships. And I came to this: time is more than money! And it is the fundamental capital of every living – and conscious – man. We can make up for lost money, not time! That’s why it’s so important to be able to see things from the end…”
ART: “An Artist with Meštrović”, Meštrović Gallery, all day
An artist with Meštrović brings modern sculptors and painters into Meštrović’ Villa, putting them in a new context. Presenting the artist in this way enables a specific confrontation that arises – the presence of one artist in the spiritual and artistic space of another. The artist with Meštrović is the painter Enca Kovačević. Due to great public interest, this exhibition has been extended until September 30th.
