Medora Auri Hotel in Podgora was awarded the prestigious gold award of the TUI Nordic Blue Star 2017, as the best-rated hotel.
Just one year after the opening, the Medora Auri Hotel in Podgora was awarded the gold award of the TUI Nordic Blue Star 2017, as the best-rated hotel by the guests of this prestigious market concept, reports hrturizam.hr on November 2, 2017.
The Blue Star concept is part of TUI Nordic’s offering, and it is also its oldest and most popular brand. All 34 hotels in Europe, as well as 22 hotels in other global destinations, which are part of this concept share the same features – diversity of facilities and services for families and couples in 4* and 5* category, and place special emphasis on sustainability, environmental protection and modern technology solutions.
“The gold award, based on the ratings of guests who stayed at the Medora Auri Hotel, is significant for the hotel and the company as a whole because Medora Auri is the first Croatian property to win the gold prize from one of TUI’s market concepts. This is especially important for developing a positive image of Croatia as a destination of excellence and a high-quality tourist product. In the same competition, the hotel also won the silver award for WiFi quality and the bronze award for the overall maintenance and cleanliness of the hotel. These awards represent an additional incentive for all our employees to improve the quality of service further and create an exceptional experience for guests staying in our facilities,” said Zrinko Kamber, the chief executive officer.
Medora Hotels from Podgora recently settled all of its obligations under the pre-bankruptcy agreement, both to the Ministry of Finance and to all other creditors in full and before the deadline. With this payment, the company has fulfilled the preconditions for the conclusion of the pre-bankruptcy settlement.
As announced by Medora Hotels, the early repayment of liabilities was made partly from own funds and partly from a loan issued by Zagrebačka Banka in the amount of 4.53 million euros, with a foreign currency clause in the kuna equivalent. The loan repayment period is ten years, which means it has to be repaid no later than 31 October 2027, with a variable interest rate of 4.20 percent per annum.
After last year’s adaptation of Medora Auri Family Beach Resort, in which the company invested more than 15 million euros, Medora plans to continue investing in the two remaining hotels and a campsite in 2018.
