ZAGREB, February 12, 2018 – The number of foreign cruise ships visiting the Croatian Adriatic was down in 2017 compared to 2016.
A total of 691 foreign cruise ships visited Croatia in 2017, down 16.2 percent (135 cruise ships) compared with 2016, carrying 947,300 passengers or 13.3 percent fewer than the year before, figures from the National Bureau of Statistics show.
The foreign cruise ships spent 1,500 days in the Croatian Adriatic, which is 17 percent less than in the first eleven months of 2016. Most of them sailed under the flags of Malta, the Bahamas, Italy and Panama.
As in the previous years, most of the vessels visited Dubrovnik.
