One otherwise rather unassuming Croatian county is doing exceptionally well.
At a press conference held yesterday, it was also emphasised that labour prices are rising, that is, that salaries will increase for employees in the metal processing industry, as well as for those in the construction sector.
As Poslovni Dnevnik writes on the 29th of March, 2018, according to the Croatian Pension Insurance Institute, on December the 31st, 2017, there were 36,744 persons registered as employed in Krapina-Zagorje County, which, when compared to January 2014, means 3,905 more people, or 11.89% more, gained employment. When compared to December 2014, 2,752 persons or 8.1% more people found work, which is the largest growth in employment in the whole of the Republic of Croatia.
Krapina-Zagorje County therefore takes first place, Zagreb takes second, Zadar takes third, Šibenik-Knin County takes fourth, and in fifth place is Dubrovnik-Neretva County. These encouraging results were presented by County Prefect Zeljko Kolar at a press conference held in Krapina on Wednesday, March the 28th, 2018.
”With 32,839 persons registered at the Croatian Pension Bureau on January the 1st, 2014, by December the 21st, 2017, we had 36,744 persons registered as employed, which means that in these four years, 3,905 new employees have been registered with the Croatian Pension Insurance Institute. As early as back in 2013, I announced that Krapina-Zagorje County was among the first counties to have emerged from the economic crisis. This data has confirmed that we were experiencing continuous economic growth,” Kolar concluded.
