May 9, 2018 – The park of the Governor’s Palace in Rijeka is turning into an oasis of hedonism this coming weekend
May 1, also known as Labour Day, officially opened the barbecue season in Croatia. And what goes best with barbecue, if not beer? Keeping that in mind, the company Beercoin planned an attractive event that will take place in Rijeka this weekend: Picnic, the city’s first craft beer and barbecue festival!
On May 11 and 12, a mouth-watering scent will be luring visitors through the gates of the park in front of the Governor’s Palace in Rijeka. The exceptionally scenic environment surrounding the magnificent historic building makes the park a perfect venue for a laid-back festival, dedicated to life’s simple pleasures.
So far, the following breweries have been confirmed for the event: San Servolo, Garden Brewery, Zmajska, Medvedgrad, 5th Element, Bura Brew, Prvo Viško pivo, Varionica, Vergal Beer, Mas Plenum, Rebel, and Keller. Customers will be spoilt for choice on the gourmet front as well, with Oštarija Fortica, Bar Bar, Nino’s and McCain taking care of the menu.
At the entrance to the park, visitors will be swapping their kuna for Beercoin, a special currency purposely created for the festival. No hassle, no need to rummage in your pockets for cash in line at the register – just make sure to get enough Beercoin, and you’re set for the evening.
