ZAGREB, May 17, 2018 – The Palumbo Group from Naples has been buying shares in the Viktor Lenac shipyard over the past few days. As of the end of last week, it owns 14.04% of the dock’s shares, the Martinščica-based shipyard said on Wednesday.
The shipyard reported via the Zagreb Stock Exchange about the change in the percentage of voting rights.
The Palumbo Group on 9 May acquired 839,490 shares which represents 4.99 percent of the voting rights in the company. In total, it has 1,600,938 shares or 9.52 percent of voting rights in Viktor Lenac.
On 11 May, the Group acquired a further 759,064 shares or an additional 4.52 percent of the voting rights, meaning a total of 2,360,002 shares of 14.04 percent of Viktor Lenac shares.
The shipyard reported that the Palumbo Group bought the shares from the Pula-based Uljanik shipyard and the Zadar-based Tankerska Plovidba shipping company and that their ownership shares had now dropped to less than 30%.
According to Viktor Lenac’s financial statement for the first quarter of 2018, at the end of March Tankerska Plovidba had 36.55% and Uljanik had 34.67% of shares in Viktor Lenac.
The latest data shows that Tankerska Plovidba holds 27.04% while Uljanik has 25.16% of the shares in the shipyard.
