ZAGREB, May 25, 2018 – The president of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) parliamentary group Branko Bačić said on Friday that due to a large number of submitted amendments, parliament would not vote on Friday on the government-sponsored bill on a liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal, the so called Lex LNG, announcing that the parliament could vote on the bill next week or in early June.
Given a large number of amendments (380) submitted by the Social Democratic Party (SDP), we will not vote on it today, Bačić told the press.
Today we will decide when the vote will take place – on Tuesday or Wednesday or the week after the Corpus Christi holiday on May 31, adding that parliament would dedicate one afternoon exclusively to voting on the amendments and Lex LNG.
The president of the SDP parliamentary group Arsen Bauk asked for the bill to be adopted under regular rather than urgent procedure.
