Good news for one Istrian tourist gem, as well as for those looking for employment.
The luxurious hotel building, which will eventually arrive to its completion on the grounds of the former hotel Park, is Adris’ largest single investment in the group’s tourist segment of business.
As Poslovni Dnevnik writes on the 28th of May, 2018, the completion of the construction of the Grand Park Hotel, with which the Adris group will round off its top hotel offer in Rovinj, is expected by the end of the year. However, during this summer season, a promenade and a completely reconstructed ACI marina at the foot of the hotel should be opened, according to a report from Glas Istre.
The cascading building of the future hotel has now reached its full six floor height, buried high in the hills above the sea and visible from every point in the old town, from both the sea and from the mainland. The tourist season stopped heavy outdoor work and the builders devoted themselves to the interior furnishing of the hotel that would carry the prestigious 5* mark. This is otherwise the biggest investment this year in Croatian tourism, worth a massive 600 million kuna, and according to Adris’ claims, they’re sticking to their previously agreed upon deadlines. Construction works on the upcoming top hotel have been going on since October last year.
So far, Adris has invested four billion kuna in the tourism section of the job, and plans are in the works for nearly two billion kuna’s worth of further investment over the next three years. Their goal, though, is to have more than 90 percent of their accommodation capacities at a four and five-star rating, with which they desire to attract more paying power.
With this huge project, Adris will round off the design of the exclusive hotel zone of Monte Mulini, with hotels Monte Mulini, Lone, and Eden, as well as the Mulini Beach promenade, accessible to all tourists and residents of beautiful Rovinj.
The good news doesn’t stop there, as when Rovinj’s Grand Park Hotel finally opens its doors to the public, it will employ about a hundred people.
