Something new for Krapina-Zagorje County is on the horizon.
On Monday, a contract on public procurement of works for the construction of a business-technological incubator for Krapina-Zagorje County was signed in Krapina.
As Poslovni Dnevnik writes on the 28th of September, 2018, the upcoming business-technological incubator will cover a total area of 2,040.29 square metres and will consist of 28 equipped functional-space units, a multi-purpose hall, an educational technology space and an innovative laboratory. The estimated procurement value stands at 20.4 million kuna, while the contract price was 23.6 million kuna excluding VAT (29.5 million with VAT).
The length of the works should be around 16 months from the initial introduction of a contractor to do the job. The expensive contract was signed by County Prefect Željko Kolar, and Zvonimir Galić, the director of the company Zagorjegradnja d.o.o.
After signing the contract, the county prefect said that the new business-technological incubator was necessary for the further development of small and medium businesses and the education system related to business ownership within Krapina-Zagorje County.
”This project has been in mine and my team’s plans since 2013, and we also made ourselves known with this in mind at the Ministry of Regional Development’s 2014 tender; then five projects were approved, and we were the sixth. In the last tender, we could have received 93.5% in non-refundable funds, but today the conditions are unfortunately not as good.
We received a maximum of 20 million kuna from the Ministry of Economy, Crafts and Entrepreneurship. We expected an additional 7.5 million kuna from the guarantee funds of the Ministry of Regional Development and European Funds, but it was subsequently established that the tender was stipulated in a manner that meant we couldn’t apply for this amount, but we received de minimus support of HRK 1,495,000 kuna, while the total value of the investment will be higher than 33 million kuna. The rest of the money will be provided by Krapina-Zagorje County from its own income on the basis of the credit we borrowed from our business bank with an interest rate of 1.74% per decade,” said Željko Kolar, who then thanked everyone involved in the praiseworthy project.
The Krapina-Zagorje County Incubator will be built in the area of Krapina, within the entrepreneurial zone. The Mayor of Krapina, Zoran Gregurović, pointed out that the city is indeed included in the project with its donation of 8,258 square metres of its land within the economic zone, carrying a price tag of an estimated 1.6 million kuna.
”It’s a springboard for further development of economy and entrepreneurship throughout the county,” concluded Mayor Gregurović.
