Who would have thought such beauty and tranquility was such a short distance from a packed Hvar Town. Take a moment to relax in the peace and quiet of one of Dalmatia’s most interesting villages.
A lot of people who visit Hvar Town on holiday never leave the town, apart from a trip to the Pakleni Islands. While it is understandable, given the range of attractions and activities, it is a shame, as there is much to discover close by.
One of the most interesting places within a few kilometre is the village of Velo Grablje, the lavender heartland of Hvar. We have written a lot about the village previously – its lavender festival, regeneration, footbal team – but perhaps never reflected on how truly peaceful it is. No need for words, this short video brings out the tranquil essence of the village superbly.
It is well worth a visit.
