This year’s online edition of the Impact conference will be held on Tuesday, April 27, from 10:00 to 15:00, and on Wednesday, April 28, from 10:00 to 14:00. During the two days of the event, the audience will follow through the Youtube channel, lecturers and panelists from more than 30 NGOs, foundations, and companies will offer answers to the main challenges facing social entrepreneurs today.
The Impact conference will again serve as an opportunity to create new business ideas, projects, and network professionals, investors, and all those who believe that the economy must also reflect on its impact on the community in which it operates.
“We are aware of Zoom and that people are tired of online events after a year in front of the screen, so we tried to design a conference whose program will offer dynamic and short panels that deal exclusively with issues and challenges that currently interest social entrepreneurs,” said Petra Jurlina, director of the social impact agency Brodoto.
The two-day event consists of lectures, workshops, pitches, and topics such as types of innovative investment, stories of successful cross-sectoral collaborations, digital adaptations of social enterprises during a pandemic, and how to deal with lockdown stress.
Speakers include representatives of international organizations and foundations such as Euclid, Bitervest, Social Impacta gGmbH, the Development Bank of the German state of Saxony-Anhalt, and Impact Huba Amsterdam.
“Social enterprises can be drivers of healthy and inclusive economic development. Today more than ever, after the catastrophic consequences of the global epidemic, there is a need to reconnect and reduce disparities at the local level. That is why it is necessary to create a community of economic actors better prepared for similar shocks that await us in the future and work on models for measuring social impact,” concluded Fabio Sgaragli, one of the shitheads of the conference.
A special part of the conference will be dedicated to promoting social entrepreneurship in rural areas of the EU. Experts on the topic will exchange advice and experiences with social enterprises from rural areas of Central Europe.
The Impact Conference 2021 is organized by the social impact agency Brodoto and two European Interreg projects: Ce Responsible and DelFin.
