Living in a small village is great for being close to the nature, having a small community around, organic food on hand and fresh air to breathe, yes – all that is great, but occasionally we desire a city. For the culture. For theatres, historic buildings, public transportation, different people and museums.
Even my child loves museums after we visited the Children´s Museum in Bratislava and with the opening line from the employee of the museum welcoming us: “This is a museum, where everything you see can be touched!”, I don´t need to tell you that as a parent to (then) a 2,5 years old this was heaven to my ears. And we love even those who have a bit stricter touching-rules, but so far my search for a really good museum in Split and its surroundings was not so successful.
So, I am pleased there is this brand new museum in Sinj to explore. Opened 2 days ago with those life-sized statues, this Alka Museum will for sure be a hit of the city, not to mention the region. Enjoy the pictures from the Sinj tourist board and head to Sinj – The Alka Museum is open daily from 9 till 21:00.
