If you would like to rent a car in Dubrovnik and enjoy the freedom while you’re driving along the Adriatic coastline, there are a number of operators providing car hire service in Dubrovnik.

To rent a car in Croatia, you must be at least 18 years old (age may vary by car category) and have held your license for one year. Drivers under the age of 25 may incur a young driver surcharge. Seatbelts are mandatory for all passengers.
Speed limits in Croatia are as follows: city 60kph, open roads 100 kph and highways 130kph. Traffic travels on the right and cars entering a roundabout have the right of way.

You can rent your car online ahead or at the local tourist agencies, hotels or even street stands. Already at the airport you can find car hire companies such as Avis, Budget, Hertz, Sixt, as well as other local operators. There is a wide range of cars offered from top quality compact cars to convertibles, sports cars, SUVs and vans. If you would like to have add-ons such as child seats, GPD or insurance protection, just notify your rental car provider when booking ahead.

Most gas stations are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m with some open 24 hours.
