City of Dubrovnik Development Agency, known as DURA (Razvojna agencija grada Dubrovnika) in Croatian, continues with its praised program of the Startup Academy. This time the workshop titled “Examine your idea – Create a Business Model” will be held two times in one month:
They both start at 10 a.m. with the first being held on April 22nd and the second one on April 29th at the offices of DURA.
Interactive workshops in Croatian are free of charge and designed for people who already have their own business idea and they are ready for sharing this idea with other participants. A great number of entrepreneurs often engage in a business venture without an objective idea about their customers, but on the basis of their assumptions that may not always be accurate.
To reduce such risks, it is of utter importance to find out who their customers could be and by doing an analysis identify their needs. By coming up with a customer and market analysis, one can start creating a company with the corresponding business model.
The workshop leaders are Tomislav Krišto, the owner of „Štreberaj“ company and Stjepan Srhoj, an Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics and Business Economics, at the University of Dubrovnik.
The first workshop includes the module 1 that will tackle the following business strategies:
1.Business Model Canvas
2.Market-Production Coordination Canvas
3.Designing tests for the ideas evaluation
4.Persona Development
The second education includes the model 2 and the following analyses will be presented and taught:
1.Porter’s Five Forces Analysis
2.PEST Analysis
3.SWOT Analysis
