Visiting Korčula island this season? The locals have prepared a summer-long manifestation for everyone to enjoy: Summer on the waterfront (Ljeto na rivi) will keep you entertained for three months, from 10 June to 19 September 2017.
To get the sailing club in Korčula to run again, the local initiative decided to organise a regatta every Saturday starting from 6:30 PM and featuring four boats, each sponsored by one of the bars and restaurants at Korčula: Moro Beach Stupe, Nono, Adio Mare and N’Ardin. The regattas are to take place in the canal and will last for about half an hour; the spectators will be able to follow the race from the pier.
Of course, no sailing event on the Adriatic can go by without some great cuisine to follow. Korčula will also see various cooking competitions with well-known chefs preparing typical local dishes, accompanied by fantastic wines coming from the local wineries.
Regattas, gourmet specialties, wine, good music and all-around fun – devised with the sole goal to get the community together to hang out, laugh and have a good time. See you in Korčula!
