The Youth European People’s Party is the largest political youth organisation in Europe, founded back in 1977. It brings together over 1.6 million young people from 59 centre-right youth political organisations from 39 European countries. Full member status is held to the European Youth Forum which operates within the Council of Europe and European Union areas and works closely with both these bodies.
During the bi-annual congress held in Dubrovnik, the new president of this very active organisation was chosen, Andrianos Giannou of TNL, Romania, who will replace the former president Konstantinos Kyranakis.
Giannou delivered a speech in which he focused on the need of listening, creating and explaining the future of Europe that seeks new solutions to constant political challenges facing European society today.
The new board aims to tackle the young people’s most fundamental concerns:
the future of industry, the future of labour and the future of human mobility.
