Fine Dining: Fish Restaurant Proto

Proto Restaurant opened its doors in 1886 and it is certainly one of the oldest restaurants in Dubrovnik. Nestled in the Old Town, this traditional and old-fashioned restaurant focuses on the Dalmatian seafood prepared using the authentic recipes, but it offers meat and vegetarian dishes as well. One can try fresh oysters from Stoni, fresh fish fillets and well-known škampi na buzaru (shrimps in garlic, white wine and parsley), but we suggest to ask the waiter to recommend their catch of the day coupled with one of the finest Croatian wines.

When you book a table, ask for a seat at the terrace, you won’t regret it.
