January the 2nd, 2025 – Excellent Croatian tourism revenue was recorded over the initial nine months of last year, amounting to just over 13 billion euros.

As Morski writes, according to data collected by the Croatian National Bank (CNB), throughout the first nine months of 2024, Croatian tourism revenue amounted to 13.2 billion euros. That is equal to 1.7 percent or 224 million euros more than in the same period back in 2023.

In the third quarter of last year alone, Croatian tourism revenue from foreign sources amounted to a staggering 9.06 billion euros. That represents a slight decrease of 0.7 percent (64.3 million euros) when compared to the same period in 2023.

“While we achieved record growth in terms of Croatian tourism revenue in the first six months of 2024, the data for the third quarter is slightly lower. That confirms what we’ve been emphasising all along, which is that in that part of the year, except on the continent, we have extremely little room for growth.

It also confirms that we must rationally create the prices of all tourist services we set, and that further uncontrolled growth in private accommodation isn’t an option. That’s because the supply is growing rapidly, and we’re achieving the same or lower results. That’s why we’ve implemented important reform processes scheduled for this year, which we’ll continue doing, because this is the only way we can maintain the success and competitiveness of Croatian tourism in the long term,” stressed Tourism Minister Tonči Glavina, reported by HRT.

He added that it’s of paramount importance that Croatia actually develops year-round tourism even more strongly.
