All together 5 charging stations were opened today in the Split-Dalmatia county. One at the Split airport, another one in Makarska and 3 in Split city (City Centre One, Hotel Cornaro & Hotel Park).

According to Zlatko Ževranja (head of the Split-Dalmatia County) charging stations were financed fully from EU fund Intermodal and are a part of the eRoaming platform www.puni.hr. Ževranja believes the rising interest for electric cars among Croats as well as foreign visitors will continue and these 5 stations will provide the foundation to the future intermodality of Croatia.

People can use the stations free of charge for one year. After that stations will be sold (the one at the airport to Split airport) and continue to serve the owners of electric cars.
