Total Split’s friend and occasional partner, news portal Dalmacija News , celebrated on Tuesday its fifth birthday. In those five years this small but efficient team has managed to become the best read independent portal in central Dalmatia, and a valuable news source for its readers in Dalmatia and Dalmatians all over the world. Next to the portal maintained by leading daily Slobodna Dalmacija, Dalmacija News is probably the most informative media in Dalmatia.
According to a regular survey by specialised Vidi magazine, Dalmacija News reached Top 10 internet media in Croatia in 2011. The portal was started by Split journalist Joško Dadić, and today with another well-known journalism name Mate Prlić as an editor, recently reached its record of 88,000 unique daily visitors.
– Our goal is to reach 100,000 visitors in 2014, and we can achieve that only in coalition with readers. That way Dalmatia will have strong media that will defend the interests of local people, cherish Dalmatian values and its rich tradition, push all good initiatives and ideas, and promote young creative people, wrote Mate Prlić in his anniversary editorial.
Unfortunately, Dalmacija News is still available only in Croatian, but when they reach their goal about visitors, who knows…
