At this year’s 19th International Business Fair “Saso”, which will take place from 21 to 24 October in the Spaladium Arena in Split, a total of 780 exhibitors from seven countries – Germany, Italy, Slovenia, Hungary, Poland, Austria and Croatia – will present their products and services. This year’s edition will include several trade shows in the areas of construction, wood and metal industries, as well as Fair of Tools, Machinery and Equipment, Fair of Trades, Small Businesses and Entrepreneurship, Fair of Ecology and Fair of Stone Industry, reports Slobodna Dalmacija on October 16, 2015.
During the event, a delegation of 40 businessmen from Turkey will arrive to Split, ready to cooperate with local entrepreneurs, mainly those from the troubled construction sector. “It will be a great opportunity to connect several economic sectors and I believe that the Turkish-Croatian business meetings will create many successful partnerships. The construction sector is slowly rising and we believe that this is excellent time for cooperation”, said Katja Buličić, president of the County Chamber of Commerce.
Sanja Vuković Veić, director of the Sajam Split company, said she was pleased with the fact that for the first time the fairs will be organized in an enclosed space, so this year there will be no fear from the wind and rain. Spaladium Arena is a venue which will provide the event with additional benefits.
“Our exhibitors will no longer be limited in their options, so they will be able to present heavy machinery. In addition to all the fairs, we are also going to organize an energy summit, the Day of Architects and the Day of Builders, where we are going to try to answer the question ‘Is it possible to repeat the period from 2003 to 2009, when the construction industry was growing rapidly?'”, said Vuković Veić, who has announced that the same venue will host several other fairs in the future: Gastronomy Fair from 11 to 14 November, Gast Fair from 2 to 6 March, as well as one completely new fair.
Deputy mayor of Split Goran Kovačević said that Saso Fair will help the tourist renaissance in Split, since local hotels will be filled almost to capacity.
