There are more than 10 rental companies in Zagreb, but it’s strongly advisable that you book in advance, especially during summer months. As in most other countries, most rent-a-car agencies are located at the airport.
You can find an option for you on Rental Cars, Economy Car Rentals or Sixt.
Some of the companies with positive reviews are Uni Rent (+385 (0)800 400 404) and Oryx (+385 (0)1 2900 333).
The lowest price you can count on is 200 kn/day, plus the gas and insurance, which is optional, but we strongly advise you take it.
Another option is Spin City car share that you can use 24/7.
You register online here and then use the app to find the nearest available vehicle. Use the app to unlock the car and when you open the glove compartment, you’ll find a laptop and keys. You then use your PIN to access the laptop, answer a few question and then you can retrieve the key from the laptop. Once you’re finished, you turn off the car, choose “Finish my ride” option on the laptop, make sure you’ve closed all windows and taken all your personal belongings, leave the car and then lock it again using the app. You can park wherever you want before your ride is over, but you can drop your car off only within the Spin City zone (click on this map or use the map on your app).
There are various Save Package options available (129 kn for 60 min, 239 kn for 120 min, 459 kn for 240 min) and they expire after 30 days. There are also Prepaid Package options (195 kn for 90 min, 599 kn for 290 min, 999 kn for 505 min), with no expiry date. The price you pay includes parking, gas, and maintenance, so you’re completely carefree.
