Minimalist Scandinavian aesthetics has been a hit in interior and product design for a few years now, but you don’t have to go all the way to Scandinavia to find it – there are great products right here in Zagreb.
If you’re looking for unique fabrics to make your house a home, look no further than Elderice.
Elderice is a small textile studio located in Zagreb. They design and screen-print fabrics with graphics and prints that are inspired by geometry, urban landscapes and nature, resulting in a mixture of softness and fluidity of natural shapes with sharp geometrical forms.
Željka Harić and Iva Mišković founded the copany in 2010. They make the prints using water-based colors and they mix the shades themselves to get perfect vibrant shades. Only natural fabrics such as cotton, linen and linen/cotton blends are used.
The products include fabric storage bins, tea towels, table cloths, pillow covers, scarves, bags and backpacks. Product prices range from 70 to 500 HRK, depending on the product and how complex the manufacturing process is.
Their Spring / Summer 2017 collection comprises playful patterns inspired by mid-century modern style. Fabrics are designed to bring childhood memories, joy and playfulness to your home and everyday moments.
Another interesting collection is called Kota, inspired by Velebit mountain, movement and dance.
