The Finnish dancer and choreographer Tero Saarinen founded this famous Finnish ballet company in 1996 with a goal to promote basic human values and a human viewpoint of the world through dance. The company plays its performances at the Aleksanterin teatteri in Helsinki in which Saarinen commenced his dancing career in 1980.

Having become one of the significant European contemporary dance companies they have showcased their work throughout forty European countries. In the meantime Tero Saarinen choreographed dance performances based on his own specific dance style in many European dance theatres where he often gives dance workshops.

Morphed was created in 2014 and since then had toured around the world and has always been well perceived by the audience and the critics. A characteristic choreographic style based on the classical and contemporary vocabulary with war elements and the Butoh tradition of the Japanese dance theatre offers a performance of exceptional energy in which seven strong male dancers with their own emotions and intensity create a contemporary, pure and mystical dance. The music of the famous Finnish composer and conductor Esa-Pekka Salonen is entirely merged with the choreographic intentions of the author, as well as the sets created by Mikki Kunttu and costumes by Teemu Muurimäki.
