New application desks for administrative affairs in two Zagreb police stations, III. – Dubrava and VI. – Novi Zagreb became operational yesterday, the Ministry of the Interior reported on March 20.
According to Interior Minister Vlaho Orepić: “3,000 requests a day have been coming to Petrinjska and Heinzelova for 25 years. We opened three additional application desks for these requests at the following police stations: II Police Station, III Police Station and VI Police Station (see their locations on the map below), with two mobile counters. Through functional reorganization and spatial adaptation in relation to a specific need, we intend to bring Ministry of the Interior and the entire police force ‘closer to citizens’. This is only the beginning and all our plans for 2017 are directed at addressing these and similar problems. 150,000 people who have been going to Petrinjska or Heinzelova to get their documents issued can now do so at Črnomerec.”
There are now three additional police stations where citizens can submit their residence applications and get their IDs, passports and driver’s licences issued.
Two clerks will be available at each police station, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The aim is to enable the citizens who live in remote parts of the city to get their administrative affairs in order at a nearby police station. This will also reduce the crowds at the administrative affairs application desks at the two main Zagreb Police Administrations, in Petrinjska and Heinzelova Streets.
It’s also important to note that mobile offices at Trg Francuske republike 15, Dubrava 49 and Avenija Dubrovnik 12 will cease to function on March 31.
Another useful piece of information is that Zagreb Police Station application desks for persons with disabilities located in Petrinjska 30 is available Mon – Fri, 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
