1) Bundek
Bundek is definitely the closest to the centre, but it’s also probably going to be the most crowded, so you are going to have to camp there from early morning if you want to catch a barbecue spot. There are toilets available, which is very convenient.
2) Jarun

Jarun is bigger than Bundek, so there are more options, but it’s also popular among locals (especially the small picnic houses, perfect cover for sudden storms
3) Gorščica – Sljeme
www.medvednica.info
This is a mountaineer lodge on the slopes of Medvednica. The road is unpaved, so don’t start panicking if you can’t find the road – it’s a gravel road with signs leading you towards the mountaineer lodge and picnic site. You can take paths 23, 24, 25, 34 and 35 if you decide to hike there (approximately 8 km)

5) Zajarki Lake, Zaprešić

This lake is located less than 20 km from Zagreb; definitely won’t be as crowded as Jarun and Bundek, and it’s equally pretty and convenient for barbecuing.
