Zagreb from a sligthly different point of view
‘Zagreb from Above’ is the name of a series of high resolution drone photos and videos that present Zagreb from a slightly different perspective that we’re used to.
Even thought aerial photos might seem less personal and with fewer details than the usual photos of landmarks we see, this project shows that they are anything but – roads you drive along daily create amazingly intricate details from above and cars on parking lots fit together like colorful pieces of a puzzle.

100 posto spoke to the author of the project and he revealed that drone photography is in a grey area in Croatia, but no one has caused him any problems so far. He said that his favourite location was Mirogoj cemetery and the Remetinec roundabout at Lanište.
The main element he looks for in a photo is symmetry – between the streets, parked cars, or whichever other objects he finds on the ground. However, sometimes the locations that he was sure would look great from the air lack that ‘wow’ element a good photo needs, so there are failed attempts, too.

People are generally interested and ask questions about the drone, but he did have a security issue at one point.
