There’s still time to visit the magical courtyards of Zagreb’s Upper Town.
Zagreb’s Courtyards is a wonderful event which brings a magical atmosphere and vibrant energy to the Upper Town.
As soon as you step into Radićeva, you’ll notice groups of people heading up, debating which of the seven courtyards to visit first.
You can visit them 6 p.m. – 12 a.m. every day, but make sure to go as early as possible, because it gets very crowded as early as 8 p.m.
We visited the private courtyard in Radićeva 54
(thanks to the kind owner who gave me VIP access to the balcony so I can snap some photos)
the Erdödy-Drašković Palace at Opatička 29,
Balbi Palace at Demetrova 11
and the Gvozdanović Palace at Visoka ulica 8.
There were live concerts and people sipping refreshing cocktails and having a good time.
The Courtyards, Facebook
It’s great to see the Upper Town buzzing with people and I for one would love to see it happen more often.
There are three days left, so visit the Courtyards website and like them on Facebook to find out what’s happening tonight!
